Gavi: My Starting Line

Gavi partnered with Hypemaker to develop a white-label campaign aimed at raising awareness and deepening the understanding of their "Starting Line" message. By leveraging both short-form and long-form content, the objective was to create a campaign and suite of assets that would be broadcast ahead of the Olympic Games and continue through to the Paralympic Games.

Approach

We developed the "Starting Line" concept into a compelling video series that features top athletes and para-athletes from France, Germany, Norway, and the UK. This format allowed the athletes to share their personal stories, reflecting on their starting points in life and the challenges they’ve overcome. The series offered an intimate glimpse into the lives of figures like Robert Pirès, Mo Farah, Laure Manaudou, and Ada Hegerberg, all seen through the lens of their inner child. The narrative highlighted their resilience and triumphs in the face of adversity, inspiring the audience to dream big, persevere, and become their own heroes. Throughout the series, the athletes emphasised the importance of ensuring everyone starts life with equal opportunities, and how childhood immunization plays a vital role in shaping that starting line.

Result

The final result effectively bridged the worlds of sports and healthcare, offering a unique perspective on how vaccinations can impact the lives of everyday people, particularly the younger generation. The suite of videos produced enabled content to be amplified across multiple channels and formats, from social media and editorial to websites and TV.
